Norman-Spencer and NS Cares are focused on CARING about our clients, our communities, and one another. Today, this commitment calls for helping our agents, insureds, and the people whose lives have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana.
In an effort to help those we CARE about who have been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, NS Cares has made a donation to the following four organizations:
In fall 2008, the Houston Food Bank merged with End Hunger Network, a Houston-area food rescue organization, thus making more effective use of community resources by working together as one. Your support helps provide meals for hungry neighbors in emergencies and throughout the year. Together, we can help people in their greatest time of need. Once all this year's disaster relief and recovery needs have been met, any remaining donations will be used to fund ongoing hunger-relief efforts.

Second Harvest is gearing up to help support our neighbors impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Thank you for your donation to help the victims of Harvey in both Texas and Southwest Louisiana. This is the fifth natural disaster we have responded to in the last 18 months, and your support is critical to our year-round disaster preparedness. Hurricane Harvey has caused an unprecedented amount of flooding in Texas, and continues to threaten Southwest Louisiana. Second Harvest Food Bank is accepting donations to help the victims of this historic storm.

SBP's mission is to shrink time between disaster and recovery. SBP exists to help citizens, communities and governments rebuild faster, more efficiently and more effectively. Your contribution will help families who have been devastated by disaster return home, and ensure that communities in the future do not have to endure a long, painful recovery as has been the case all too often in the U.S. In advance of Harvey’s landfall, SPB committed to helping impacted communities recover in a prompt, efficient, and predictable way by providing training, and advisory services, and will seek to assist in rebuilding efforts at the appropriate time.

The American Red Cross is helping the people affected by Hurricane Harvey in Texas and all across the Gulf coast. Shelters are open, truckloads of supplies are being disturbed and volunteers in place.

In addition to making a donation to any of the above organizations, we are asking employees and our community to donate water, pull top canned food, diapers, granola, and baby clothes by bringing them into our offices in Dayton and Cincinnati between now and close of business this Friday.
Donated items will be provided to Matthew 25: Ministries in Cincinnati, which will distribute donated supplies to those affected. For each donation collected in a Norman-Spencer office, NS Cares will donate one case of water to Matthew 25: Ministries for Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
